Meatballs Done the Right Way

I love meat balls! I think that they are delicious and they are a real treat for me because I hate making them so we hardly ever have them. Then one day I was watching the food network and I happened upon a show where two Italian ladies were making meatballs. I was enlightened! Meatballs are not meant to be fried in a pan! They are best when roasted in the oven! This is how everyone else had perfectly round uniformly crispy meatballs. I always tried to fry them in a pan and I always ended up spending hours and still they would fall apart and turn back into ground beef. I made some in the oven and they turned out perfectly!

What I did this time was planed to use my “Awesome Sauce” on my meatballs so I incorporated many of those flavors into them. I mixed two packages of ground beef with 3 eggs, soy sauce, ketchup, hot sauce and corn flake crumbs and rolled them into fairly large balls. I lined a baking dish with them and baked them at 350° for 3 hours. They turned out perfectly crispy on the outside! When I took them out of the oven I poured the Awesome Sauce on them which was already hot on its own from being made on the stove. These were easily the very best meatballs I have ever made and I encourage anyone who has had troubles with meatballs to try it this way in the future.
